Firstly, great to hear you’re looking to move to Kycker! Follow these steps to move your back catalogue to us.
The first steps are to create a Kycker account. Once you have done this you will need to upload all your releases to us with the correct artwork, audio and metadata. This is essential as it ensures your streaming numbers carry across with the transfer.
The following metadata must match exactly to the back catalogue on your previous/ current distributor.
Please ensure you include the following:
- Previous ISRCs and UPCs
- Same genre and sub-genre (or as close as possible)
- Exact same artist name and streaming platform identifiers (URI's)
- Exact same featured artists (and other primary artists) and streaming platform identifiers (URI's)
- Exact same audio
- Exact same track name and product name
- When uploading your tracks, select 'does this track already exist?' below release date and input your original release date
- Same C&P line
Once uploaded submit the tracks for review. Once they are accepted and go live on the release date, wait 48 hours to allow metadata to sync. Then issue a takedown with previous/ current distributor.
A way to check that everything has moved over correctly is by checking one of your releases on Spotify. If you see '1 More Release' at the bottom of your song this means it has worked!
Where can I find this information?
All the above information should be available with your previous distributor. We recommend accessing your previous distribution account and the relevant product to source the data.
Alternatively, if accessing your previous distribution account is not possible you can find the data on the live release on streaming platforms.
If you are having issues finding your ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) and UPC (Universal Product Code), we recommend using the following site:
