Each time you gig your music live you’re entitled to royalties. You get paid directly by the venue but they also pay for a music license (from PRS in the UK). You’re entitled to claim these royalties. If you play covers then the copyright owners of those covers are entitled to the royalties.
In the UK, in a small venue, this is around £10 per event. Even busking your own music gets you a small payment if you’re in the London Underground!
If you play your own music at a larger venue or a festival you can get a lot more. The rate varies but as of July 2023 the venue pays a minimum of 4% of ticket receipts to PRS for UK gigs!
Kycker have a tab to let you submit your live Gig Claims, to help you get all of the money that you’re rightfully owed.
