You get a statement each month in your KYCKER account, but this does not necessarily cover everything for a whole calendar month. It is an exact report of what has been reported to us by the DSP’s (Digital Service Providers), when they report it
If you use a streaming royalty calculator you may be expecting a certain amount of money based on the number of streams you had in a given month. The streaming rates vary hugely. A broad guide of 0.0025p per stream could be used, but the rates are far lower for certain regions of the world, and lower for ad supported streams versus premium account streams. There can be huge differences depending on where you stream the most
Your statement breaks down every rate paid for your streams and every stream at that rate. You can download it and dig right down into the details if you want to understand more about the rates
We process statements as we receive the data, but sometimes the data doesn’t include all of the streams that you would expect to see based on your analytics. Often this is just a quirk, and we honestly can’t explain why, it just happens. Mostly it resolves in the following statement
If it doesn’t resolve it may be that the streaming service is investigating the source of the streams. This can happen if you have ended up on a suspicious playlist, or your streams are highly erratic, suggesting paid for streams. If something hasn’t resolved in the following month please raise a ticket on Zendesk so we can look into this matter further
If an issue is reported to us by any of the streaming providers, we will communicate this to you so that you can put together evidence to show the streams are legitimate. For example, you may be able to prove that you have toured in a certain area, which led to a spike of streams in a seemingly random time and location
