What is Spotify Countdown?

Spotify Countdown lets listeners preview track lists, watch Clips, purchase merchandise, and see a timed count down of the actual seconds until an artists new release launches. To find out more information you can check out Spotify’s Countdown Page

How do I get Spotify Countdown?

To be eligible for a Spotify Countdown Page, artists must meet the following criteria:

Active listeners: Have at least 5,000 active listeners in the previous 28 days

Album: The release must be an album, not a single

Distribution: The music must be distributed to Spotify with a future release date

Artist name: The album must be released under one artist name, not multiple

Artists can check their active listener count by logging into Spotify for Artists, going to Audience, then Segments, and clicking Active audience.

Once an artist is eligible for a Countdown Page, they will receive a notification via their Spotify for Artists email. Countdown Pages can be accessed through an Artist Profile, the Now Playing view, and Clips.
