If you have distributed tracks through Kycker and you have those tracks on YouTube, you may have received a message that there is a copyright claim.
Don’t Panic!
This is not a copyright strike and it will never turn into a copyright strike. It does not impact you and it will not lead to your account being suspended. It might look bad with the big red mark, but it’s just the way that YouTube communicate it.
A copyright claim simply means that we are collecting the revenue on your behalf, which is part of the distribution agreement you have with us. We are the distributor of your music, so there is an automatic digital fingerprinting that takes place which allows us to collect all of the revenue from streaming.
This fingerprinting also means that if somebody else is using your music on a video then we will collect any money that is made from it.
You can whitelist your music so that the claim disappears, however this means that you will not collect any income at all from streams on the music you whitelist. You will lose out on getting paid for them on YouTube.
If you want to whitelist, and lose the revenue, please raise a ticket in Zendesk and a member of our team can help
